Ayurvedic post-natal care

Gentle healing touch for the new mother

Sparsh — Sanskrit for “touch” — brings the time-honoured Ayurvedic tradition of sutika paricharya to your home: warm herbal oil massage, belly binding, soothing baths and nourishing care through the first weeks after birth.

40 daysof traditional rest & recovery care
Our philosophy

Caring for the mother who just gave life

In Ayurveda, the weeks after childbirth are a sacred window. Birth leaves the body depleted and vata — the element of air and movement — runs high, which can show up as fatigue, aches, poor sleep, anxiety and slow digestion.

Our therapists follow the classical post-partum routine: warmth, oil, rest and nourishment. Each session is calm, unhurried and adapted to how you birthed, how you’re feeling and what your body needs that day.

Questions

Good to know

When can I start post-natal massage?

Many mothers begin within the first week after a normal delivery. We always ask that you check with your doctor or midwife first, and we tailor the pressure and treatments to your recovery.

I had a C-section. Is this safe for me?

Yes, with care. We wait until your doctor confirms you’re ready, and we avoid the incision area entirely until it has fully healed, focusing on the back, limbs and gentle relaxation.

Do you come to my home?

Yes. Our therapists bring everything needed — oils, towels and herbal preparations — so you can rest without leaving home.

How long is a session?

Most sessions last 60–90 minutes, depending on the treatments included. Baby massage is shorter and paced around your little one.

Is Sparsh a replacement for medical care?

No. Our treatments are traditional wellness therapies that complement — not replace — the care of your doctor, midwife or health visitor.
